In Charge- CEO and principal surveyor.Capt Ahmed Ruhullah is the founder of Henderson Bangladesh. He has been involved in marine survey since 1998 when Henderson International Group started operating in Bangladesh. A UK qualified master mariner and a alumni of Cardiff University where he studies for his MSc degree in International Transport, Capt Ruhullah is a high profile mariner with experience of work on board ships of many kinds in Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Korea. Capt Ruhullah has taught at University level in Australia and served as a senior policy adviser in the Australian Government Department of Transport and Infrastructure. He attended at ILO MLC 2006 and various IMO meeting as a delegation representing the Australian Government. He is currently a Vice Chairman of Dhaka Branch of the Nautical Institute, UK. From P&I Club loss prevention surveys to critical accident investigations, Capt Ruhullah is the preferred surveyor and consultant in Bangladesh for surveys and investigation of all types.
Marine Consultant and Surveyor: Capt Malek is a high profile master mariner with over 32 years experience at sea and ashore in Bangladesh and abroad. Following an illustrious career at sea on dry bulk and container vessels from 1981 to 1997, Capt Malek has been active in many sectors within the maritime industry, from ship management to marine survey and consultancy. He is an experienced surveyor who has done numerous condition surveys for P&I Clubs, H&M underwriters and charterers. He has also handled several high profile marine accidents for P&I clubs as surveyor and consultant. Capt Malek is heavily involved in the Bangladesh maritime scene and is a valued contributor in policy discussions. He is currently the Chairman of the Chittagong Branch of the Nautical Institute, UK. Capt Malek is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Marine Consultant and Surveyor:Engr. Mohammed Elias is a UK qualified marine engineer holding a Class 1 Motor license. He is vastly experienced in all kinds of diesel engines and machinery, and he has sailed on dry bulk carriers and tankers in the Far East and Middle East. Mr Elias has been doing P&I and H&M survey, installation of marine equipment and repair supervision for ship owners and Clubs. He has been also doing industrial survey of machinery for underwriters including Lloyd’s syndicates since 2006.
Survey Coordinator and cargo surveyor: Mohammed Yusufuzzaman is a graduate of Science from the National University. Mr Yusuf has been working as a cargo surveyor since 2002, first with the local Lloyd’s Agent and then with Royal Inspection of Bangladesh. Mr Yusuf joined Henderson Bangladesh in 2007 and has been leading the cargo survey section. He has handled survey of a diverse range of products ranging from live day old chick for the poultry industry to damaged textile, machinery and animal feed ingredients.
Capt Islam is a senior UK qualified master mariner. Capt Islam has over thirty years of experience in shipping including fifteen years ashore as surveyor and marine consultant. He is stationed in Khulna and covers the port of Mongla for all P&I, H&M and cargo surveys. Capt Islam is a member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors, UK, the Nautical Institute, UK, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Ms Sin Aung or Ma Mu, as she is fondly known in Yangon is a shipping person with twenty years experience in shipping. As the manager of a shipping agency, she has handled ships of all types in Yangon and is very well versed in local regulations and claim matters. Ma Mu has extensive connection in Myanmar and acts as the local contact for all survey and claims matters.
Capt Win Zaw is an experienced P&I and H&M surveyor. He has over thirty five years of experience in shipping, including command in Myanmar Five Star Line, He also served as a superintendent in the same company and then at the Myanmar Maritime University as a lecturer. Capt Win Zaw is a very experienced surveyor and claim handler. He maintains an extensive network in Myanmar .
Mr Soe Moe Naing is a graduate of science and a trained surveyor. He has been working as a cargo surveyor since 2007, inspecting cargo for BV as a subcontractor. He joined Henderson Myanmar in 2012 and has been leading cargo survey for underwriters, shippers and consigneed.
Mr Kyaw Zyar Win is a retired officer of Myanmar Navy where he was trained as a Gunnary Officer in the Executive Branch. He is well versed in navigation and ship design aspects and has joined the company in 2012 with an aim to become a fully trained marine surveyor. He is currently assigned to assist in all P&I and H&M surveys and cargo surveys as well. As an ex naval officer, Mr Kyaw is well connected with officials in the port and maritime administration.
