Ship Design and Engineering

HMBL can provide full consultancy and project management in new building through the Henderson International, Engineering Design and Naval Architecture (EDNA) Division for the private and government sectors alike.

The Henderson Range of Services:-

Concept design, project estimation, tender document development including outline commercial contract.

Detailed design and drawings meeting all major Classification Societies and Flag State requirements·

Production drawings, as fitted documentation and final drawings of the build.

Naval Architecture Services - intact and damage stability calculations, conducting lightship survey, inclining experiment, resistance and powering calculations, and structural analysis, including hull longitudinal strength etc.

Claim Handling

Henderson Bangladesh has vast experience in claim handling in Bangladesh. Henderson’s claim handling started in 1998 when the then Terra Nova P&I appointed Henderson Bangladesh as their correspondent after a successful claim negotiation on their behalf. Since then Henderson has been gradually building its capabilities in terms of human resources and infrastructure to provide a full spectrum correspondent and claim management services.

Henderson is result focused and enjoys high client confidence. There are experienced marine professionals and staff with legal qualification to provide effective and timely advice on potential claim matters. In 2013 Henderson handled a number of claims on behalf of several IG P&I Clubs and H&M underwriters.

Henderson Bangladesh has a network of practicing senior lawyers to manage marine cases on behalf of clubs and other principals, including foreign shipowners, charterers, law firms and other interested parties. HIBL accepts legal cases in the capacity of case managers and technical consultants and only when no conflict of interest is present.
